TRISURE NAMED ‘BUSINESS CHAMPION’ FOR EMPLOYEE DEVELOPMENT EFFORTS

RALEIGH – For the second straight year in honor of its ongoing commitment to educating and empowering employees, TriSure has been recognized as a “Business Champion” by Business Leader magazine and Wake Technical Community College.

Business Champions is an annual awards program sponsored by Business Leader and Wake Tech that honors Triangle–region companies for providing comprehensive workplace education and development efforts to employees. Wally Dawson, a TriSure partner, accepted the award today.

TriSure is one of the largest independently owned insurance brokerage and consulting firms in the Triangle region. The firm consults with the area’s leading businesses to help them successfully manage property and casualty insurance risks and provide benefits to their employees.

“We feel strongly that what makes us different is the professionalism and expertise that our employees provide to our clients,” Dawson said. “We take a holistic approach to learning about our clients and their circumstances to understand their risks and offer the most appropriate solutions. This takes knowledge, discernment and skills – we never just ‘sell a policy.’”

Dawson attributed TriSure’s recognition as a “Business Champion” to two important factors:

Professional credentials. Because TriSure values industry credentials, TriSure pays all expenses incurred when employees pursue one. TriSure pays bonuses when employees reach milestone points in their pursuits, and a salary increase once credentials have been obtained. Also, TriSure employees who extend policies must have industry certification. Many of TriSure’s competitors require only that employees be licensed by the state of North Carolina.

In–house training. For an entire month after a new sales employee starts at TriSure, he or she attends training from 6 to 7 a.m. TriSure has found it ensures the undivided attention of seasoned employees and offers insight into a new employee’s commitment. “Someone who willingly attends training at 6 a.m. every day for a month is someone willing to do whatever it takes to help a client,” Dawson said.
