RALEIGH – TriSure proved to be a top fundraiser in the small business category for Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure on Saturday, June 14.
Seventeen people representing TriSure participated in the event and raised $3,115.
The Race for the Cure is organized by the Susan G. Komen for the Cure foundation, the world’s largest grassroots network of breast cancer survivors and activists working to eradicate the disease. Since its start 25 years ago, the foundation has invested $1 billion in breast cancer research and support services, making it the largest source of non-profit funds dedicated to fighting breast cancer worldwide. The Race for the Cure is the foundation’s signature fundraiser.
TriSure has sponsored teams in the local Race for the Cure every year since 2002, said Linda Folger, a partner in the firm and a breast cancer survivor.
“Having experienced breast cancer personally, I know how important it is to have access to the information and support needed to wage a successful battle against the disease,” Folger said. “That requires money. The foundation does excellent work, and we at TriSure are honored to do our part to help.”
